Note that extractors for guns made prior to 1950 were .435 wide at the top, while the later ones were .308. The Tentite (plastic) stocked guns were made during WWII, so therefore needed the wider extractors |

On the Series "M", the actual factory nomenclature is "Ejector", which is what most of us know as an "Extractor", just different terminology. |

The model 9478 uses a longer extractor because this gun was designed on a 10 ga frame. |
